Beekeeping Class: The Howard County Beekeepers Association will sponsor a Beekeeping Short Course in 2009 at the Howard County Fairgrounds in West Friendship, MD. (See attached flyer MS Word PDF)

Classes will be held on Tuesday nights: February 17 & 24, March 3, 10 & 17. All classes are from 7:00 – 9:30 p.m. in the Dining Hall. A field day will include work with live colonies (Date and location in April to be announced).

Mt. Pleasant: Location where the Howard County Beekeepers maintain an apiary for viewing by the public.

Honey Bee Net: Ecologists are concerned that crucial plant-pollinator relationships could be disrupted as a result of climate and land use changes.  Visit , the NASA, Goddard Space Flight web site for more information on the study that Wayne Esaias is researching and how you can help.

Project Budburst is a collaborative effort of the following sponsors. U.S. Bureau of Land Management provided funding for the spring 2007 event.
